Welcome to CiRaD!
CiRaD (Center for Integrative Rheumatoid Transcriptomics and Dynamics) was established in 2015 with the support of the Creative Research Initiative Program by the National Research Foundation of Korea. The research goal of CiRaD is the induction of the complete remission of Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) by targeting Fibroblast-like Synoviocytes (FLSs). The etiology of RA pathogenesis can be largely explained by genetic variations and several types of environmental factors, such as infection and intestinal microbiota. With reference to our research goal, we intend to highlight dynamic aspects of precise medicine in autoimmune diseases using state-of-the-art genomics. Furthermore, as recent reports have demonstrated that altered microbiota composition contributes to RA development, we are also going to graft the concept of 'microbiota' to the pathogenesis of autoimmune disease.
